I had a medical appointment an it was within walking distance. The rom was more than adequate sizewise and was very clean and tidy. Staff were very courteous.
Excellent location. Bathtub was a hit with my kids.
The rooms are clean and the hotel is centrally located. It is near a lake and on Main Street so we could get places easily.
The hotel staff gave us poor directions to Real Journeys so we got lost, but otherwise they were courteous and welcoming.
The room and facilities were better than I expected in a small place like te anau. Arrived there at 8.30 am ,staff was kind to offer to keep our luggage as were going for a trip at Doubtful Sound. As the rooms were not ready. They later delivered our luggage to our rooms.
It was a lengthy process to get the wireless access, the hotel could issue a voucher with an access password for speeding the process and clients could use their laptops in their rooms
The downstairs restaurant was very good and good value. the room was also very welcoming good size and very comfortable beds
very large comfortable, well-equipped bedroom
bedroom fridge a bit loud - tuned it off during the night
Lovely spacious room, very quiet, and in the centre of the town. Close to all the shops and eateries. Good comfortable bed withe nice clean linen and bedding, and no bad smells.
It's locality. It was close to the shops, restaurants and the lake which made getting around so effortless.
A bit noisy with the coaches coming and going but this was only in the early morning or late afternoon.
Efficient and friendly helpful staff. A good location with excellent links for the bus tour companies.
None, all very good.
Convenient location and the best of a fairly poor selection in Te Anau. The rooms are a reasonable size but the hotel is rather warm. For the location is it reasonable value for money.
The hotel room itself is very nice. We stayed at the Deluxe Room. This room is a bit more expensive than other two kinds of studio rooms (Standard is $100, Superior is $110, and Deluxe is $125). It features two queen sized beds and nice, modern bathroom. The room itself is also huge. Looking from the pictures of the standard and superior rooms in this site, the deluxe room is much better and it is an extra $25 which is worth paying. Yuth, the duty manager from Thailand, treats us and our family like royals. He is extremely friendly and helpful, and our stay became special largely because of him. We had dinner at Mr.Yakitori (Japanese restaurant owned by the hotel) and dessert at Baileiz (also owned by the hotel) and both are lovely!
The room, while large, modern, and comfortable, has no air condition. Thus it got hot during the nights which made us having to open all windows. It also has no view of Lake Te Anau. The hotel also needs to check its toilets in the lobby regularly. I wanted to use the toilet during the night when my brother was taking a shower, and there were stains of excrement in the lobby toilet. When we checked in, the toilet in our room also had some small stain. We called the reception to take a look at it before flushing the toilet. They need to improve this, as guests don't want to see this kind of thing. The toilet in Baileiz restaurant also needs to be checked regularly. It was dirty when I walked in; I had to use the lobby toilet instead.
Staff was very friendly. Hotel was very nice and clean and very comfortable rooms. On the main street with all the restaurants and shops. Would stay there again!
internet was not available in the rooms...only in the lobby downstairs.
Clean and modern hotel. Excellent location to do a day trip up to Milford Sound.
The spacious and well designed room. Execllent location and value for money. .
Very comfortable and spacious room. Good interior design. Confortable lobby with internet facilities and adequately stock of books for reading pleasure. Execellent location; right in the heart of the main street and next to inter-city coach station. Friendly and helful staff. Definetly value-for-money. Strongly recommend to visitor to Te-Anua & Milford Sound. Tan Hean Theng (Penang, Malaysia)
Service from the restaurant staff was excellent. Sitting by the fire in the bar having drinks before dinner was very relaxing.
No movie on tv -stipulates in hotel guide movies only in Summer and Winter. What about Spring!!
